Converter questions
Which file format does QuickBooks import?
QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop both import QBO (Web Connect) files. QuickBooks Online also accepts CSV, OFX and QFX uploads. QuickBooks Desktop also imports IIF files under File › Utilities › Import › IIF Files.
What's the difference between QBO, QFX and OFX?
All three are built on Open Financial Exchange. A QBO file adds the Intuit details QuickBooks checks. A QFX file adds the Intuit details Quicken checks. A plain OFX file is the general version that Xero, Sage, MYOB and most other apps read.
Which format does Quicken import?
For bank and credit card accounts, Quicken imports QFX (Web Connect) files. Quicken for Windows only accepts QIF into cash, asset and liability accounts, not checking, savings or credit card accounts.
Which format does Xero import?
Xero imports bank statements as OFX, QIF, QBO, QFX or CSV files. OFX is the simplest, because the dates and amounts are already labeled and there's no column template to fill in.
Are my files stored?
File-converter uploads and results are temporarily stored in private storage. Uploads are deleted after a successful conversion; abandoned uploads and results are automatically deleted after about an hour. Download links are temporary.
Are the converters free?
Yes. The file converters on this page are free and don't need an account. Converting a PDF bank statement needs a Ledgerpour account, and your first 5 pages are free.
